We’re so proud of our teens who recently won the NIDA/MusiCares/Grammy Foundation’s Teen Songwriting Contest, which raised awareness about substance abuse. “The best parts of recovery are also the scariest ones. I still remember how it felt to leave Phoenix House; it was awesome because I was so excited to go home and start my new life, but scary because I had no idea what would be ahead of me. But whatever was going to happen, I was confident that it would be good. And it was good—still is. So far, so good.”
